Remember your "Why" and HAVE SOME FUN!

Congratulations to Gavin Kowalski who has raised over £3000 for SWAN UK running the London Marathon.

“I was running for a charity very close to my heart, SWAN UK. SWAN UK (Syndromes Without a Name) is an initiative set up by charity Genetic Alliance UK. It was set up to support children with undiagnosed genetic disorders and their families. They are a small charity with limited resources.

SWAN UK has been a great support to our family and to many families we know.

I was well aware of my "WHY", and when things got really tough, I had a mantra that I repeated to myself, it was the names of four children that we know that SWAN UK supports. That little mantra helped me get through the short-term hardship of running the last 6-7 miles, in the knowledge that what I was doing would have a real, quantifiable, impact.”
